Can a statement be demonstrably, factually true & correct, yet at the same time be racist? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-a-statement-be-demonstrably-factually-true-correct-yet-at-the-same-time-be-racist

Thought question that came to mind the last time I heard a rabid talking head accuse an opponent of racism to shut down or win a discussion.
Keep in mind the actual definition of racism and give an example if you can.
Thanks much for any time you give this. Same with any other PC term they toss out. Bottom
line- We have lost the ability to debate. I could say Affirmation Action is racist. That will surely make alarm bells go off. But think about it- it is a statement and a policy. The statement will offend those that believe in a certain philosophy. Others like myself believe that we are all the same regardless of social/economic/demographic considerations and everyone will be measured on the same scale. I'd ask this question in response: what happened to MLK's I have a dream speech. Have we failed to learn the lessons of the past? Just depends on the context. If I was briefing an OPORD to soldiers and part of the enemy situation was that there was a local gang comprised of [enter race here] people, that would be an important and appropriate fact. If you said "I hate [enter race here] people" and I responded with "Yeah, did you know that that gang is full of [enter race here] people", it would be racist because I was supporting your racist statement. But the information was the same in both scenarios. Discrimination is an act founded on that belief. Inasmuch as Jews are treated as a race, the following example is responsive to your request. I had a black soldier who took an immediate dislike to a new member of my command. I tended to ignore such things unless my sergeants couldn't handle them. However, this young black approached me and complained that the Jew was one of those who killed Jesus. I suppose that nothing offended me more than the fact that he thought I might sympathize with his belief.
