The issue can be resolved by returning the dependent to the states and serving an unaccompanied tour. Since Korea is already a dependent restricted tour, and is often used to reset the Soldier's dwell time without disrupting the dependent's EFMP, her medical provider would have to show some extremely compelling evidence as to why the Soldier would be required to be physically present with the spouse, and why it would warrant retaining the Soldier as opposed to separating for family hardship. Most, if not all counselling services including Tricare offer childcare options during healthcare appointments. Also, Your Family support center at the spouse's location has all kinds of options for childcare for separated families. Going TO Korea would make more sense. The Korean medical system is amazing and makes American medicine look like voodoo doctors and exorcists. Plus the Korean hospitals know Tricare is footing the bill, so we always end up in VIP suites.
