Can a soldier request leave if they are the only soldier assigned to a shift? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-a-soldier-request-leave-if-they-are-the-only-soldier-assigned-to-a-shift <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have a soldier requesting leave for a period of time that they are the only soldier scheduled to work that specific shift. It is necessary to have a soldier working this shift per local SOP. Do I assign another soldier to work that shift or tell the soldier that they need to find someone willing to cover down before I send up the leave packet? I&#39;ve asked my first line and they said that either one would work but I know there has to be a right answer. Assigning a different soldier to complete the duty during that time should not be a big deal. I mean, I know for a fact that you have a rating scheme. The command can always deny leave, but they better have really , really good justification. &quot;Nobody else can take his place&quot;, is not good justification.
