I&#39;ve served with a number of people who have been on permanent profiles and had VA ratings and they still got theirs. Maybe something has changed in the last 4 years though. However they do not have to recommend you for an end of your award. Awards are not a given in any situation. Even those for PCS, ETS, and possibly retirement can be waiver utilizing the proper memorandum and rationale. Is it necessarily right? Probably not. Is it against regulations? No. SGT Joseph Gunderson Fri, 08 Jun 2018 21:29:23 -0400 2018-06-08T21:29:23-04:00 Response by 1SG Timothy Trewin made Jun 9 at 2018 1:39 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-a-soldier-be-denied-awards-specifically-end-of-mission-awards-for-being-on-a-medical-profile?n=3697523&urlhash=3697523 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If they are flagged, then yes.
