Can a SFC get in trouble for getting ALC test answers from a former soldier of the SFC?

The SFC has messaged her former soldier that's now an SGL at an ALC, so the SFC can get the ALC curriculum with test answers for her brand new promoted SGT. That SFC is pushing for that SGT to go to ALC immediately.

Yes, obviously.
The SFC asking for answers, and the SGL providing them can both face UCMJ.

Also, if a Soldier can't even get through ALC without a copy of the answers, then this is definitely not the right job for them.

This is more wrong than a Hooker in Church during Christmas Mass offering $3.00 bills in the collection plate. This violated the integrity of everyone AND it violates the NCOA rules for cheating. Everyone involved needs to be taken across the coals and given an NCOER that reflects this.

Um...yeah. I would say that would be something one could get in trouble for. Why wouldn't they be able to get in trouble for cheating?

It would be hard for the schoolhouse to do anything to the SFC, that choice would be up to the SFC Commander. Depending on how significant the threat to the test material, the Commandant could make it a point to contact that Soldiers CG and Division CSM if they feel it warrants that response.

The SGL should be fine as long as they don't compromise any test material. I know in my Career Counselor Course the test material is kept in a locked vault and only allowed to be accessed by two or more people, one of them being the Test writer or the SGM. I imagine other ALCs have something similar for their test material as well.

Of course You can get in trouble, that's committing an actual criminal act ! He can expect that once that is known it may well involve UCMJ action IAW Army Regulation 601-222 and OPM, Office of Personnel Management, NO ONE is even authorized access to this material without written approved documented permission and both the person being tested and the one providing answers are subject to disciplinary action by the Commander and their test results invalidated. This not only shows no integrity at all but is assisting another in cheating and is a extremely poor example to set for anyone.

All ALC/SLC test answers are in the regulations. Technically everyone already has access to the answers ;o)

Yes that soldier would be dropped immediately for an integrity violation if it was discovered. Also if a SM needs to cheat to pass an NCOES, they clearly shouldn’t be there. Not only that, but they show ZERO potential for further advancement. I would push for a reduction board immediately.

Yeah...I hope the SGL told her to Go pound sand, and then reported her.
IF I were the company commander I would look into the relationship between the SFC and the SGT. I understand taking care of your people, but this is taking it way way too far for even the most caring of NCOs.
