Can a Sergeant/Squad Leader be called a Storage and Distribution Manager in civilian sector?

It really depends on what you did.

A Sergeant is by default a mid-high level Supervisory Position designed around the 12-40 level person range (using the 1 up philosophy). It can definitely be equated to "Management." That said, depending on what billet you are filling, you may have Storage & Distribution "duties" which correlate with those of the Civilian Sector.

It won't be a perfect 1 for 1 translation, however... that doesn't mean you won't have the essential skills and knowledge for the job.

I'd generally lean towards no/maybe, but... it's all about the "Tailored Resume."

Depends. If they were an NCOIC of an SSA , sure. If they were a Scout , not so much

Storage and Distribution Manager on the civilian side would likely require experience in managing the specific tasks of the activity on the military side. For a POL operation, experience in hazardous materials shipping requirements and documentation, petroleum storage methods and conditions, quality assurance methodology, inventory control, emergency and spill response, Spill control and countermeasures, and Storm water pollution prevention would be topics I would expect experience in for a POL manager.

If you can tick off most or all of these then go for that job! :)

I think the common denominator is Manager....you could put any words preceeding or following manager and they would be fine. A squad leader is exactly what it says a leader

Sounds like a Supply Sgt to me (besides inventory control or any number of job titles or jobs a supply sgt does in the Army)
