Can a negative NCOER trigger the QMP in FY23? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-a-negative-ncoer-trigger-the-qmp-in-fy23

I just received the first negative NCOER in my 12 years service. "DID NOT MEET STANDARD" in Character, "DID NOT MEET STANDARD" in rater's comment and "NOT QUALIFIED" from senior rater. When I looked into the MILPER 22-347, Procedures for the FY23 QMP, for the NCOER wise, only Relief for Cause NCOER trigger the QMP. But in the FY20 MILPER, it does says the NCOER with annotation of "Did Not Meet Standard" in block c (Character) falls into the catagory.
If the new MILPER removed it, does that means I am safe for now? Please correct me if I am wrong. However, it is highly unlikely that you will be selected for promotion anytime soon. Only you can turn this around, if your leadership chose to give you a wake up call as opposed to a relief, take it and turn yourself around.

You can recover and be selected at a future board, again only you can do this. I always had a good NCOER and I still got booted because of some BS. I had a tendency to do the right thing, as we were taught since basic training and THAT ALONE got me a lot of hate. But I've also seen plenty of substandard NCOs come through the ranks with a few of them receiving DID NOT MEET STANDARD on their NCOERs and they went on to get promoted to the next rank so they could F--- up another future leader's career. They were being coddled by (insert senior leader's name here) so they could keep getting whatever perks they were being given by that NCO. I didn't see it on the line as much as I saw it at Command & Staff, though. Whatever happens for you, I'm wishing you the best of luck in hopes that (1) you're able to shine a little brighter on your next NCOER and (2) that you don't get screwed over like I did.
