Can a M14 fire the 7.65x39 rounds instead of 7.65x51 rounds?

No, the M14 uses the longer case 7.62 x 51. Other round one not headspace plus other issues.

Buy a ruger mini-30, all the reliability of the browning action, fires the 7.62x39 and the tactical looks like an m14, but just a smaller carbine version.

The 7.62x39 won’t seat correctly in the m14 as a 7.62x51 cartridge is longer.
