For any MPs out there can a dependent's ID get flaged on the blotter? I'm quarantineing from my wife and my leadership said her dependent ID could be flagged because we live together making her a covid risk. I didn't test positive, I was exposed to someone that always wears a mask, and I have no symptoms. My wife needs to go to work and take an exam for the state board of cosmontology. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

If you're quarantined and you live with your wife she needs to quarantine as well. She's putting everyone else in that test at risk. All she needs is a copy of your quarantine documents and she will he able to retest. The fact you have no symptoms means nothing in regard to her ability to transmit the disease.

Our local guidance is that only 1st degree contacts of someone testing positive or showing symptoms have to quarantine. Even though he is quarantined, since he didn't test positive, his wife would only be a 2nd degree contact and would not need quarantine (per my local policy). I'm sure policies are different at each location based on the SRO's guidance.

CPT (Join to see) I guess that's a local policy then. I had a first degree contact with someone who tested positive and my whole family had to quarantine for two weeks.
I also misread his statement though. When he said he was quarantining from his wife I misinterpreted that as she was supposed to be in quarantine and he was separating from her

Respectfully, these kinds of decisions need to come from public health, no his unit, not me, not anyone else but them.

The standing guidance we have issued for a while now is contacts to a contact are not close contacts and do not need to quarantine. That only changes once the close contact becomes symptomatic.

DoD can flag any ID card to bar them from entering an installation. I'm not familiar with the specifics but I know that many dependents have been flagged and barred, primarily for criminal activity, conviction, or association.

I had to quarantine back in December because I came in contact with someone who tested positive. The COVID hotline's guidance here at FT. Huachuca was for me to quarantine, but my wife and daughter could still go about business as usual. My daughter was still allowed to go to daycare and my wife could continue living her life like normal as well. Now, if I started to develop symptoms I was to let the COVID hotline know and from there I would have had to get tested and until that test came back everyone in my household would not leave. I ended up not having it. Maybe there is different guidance at different bases. I don't know why that would be, but who knows.

What is considered an exposure changes from location to location and almost weekly with CDC. Back in October I was working an office job, both of us were wearing masks, and bought quarantine for two weeks because the other person came back positive. When I was pulled into the ICU with my negative test, I would have been working instead of quarantine.
