I am an e-5 and have a team of infantry soldiers under me. I’ve been around the infantry my whole career. I know the job well. I’m curious what the school house reclass is like. <br /><br />Currently at a 3 week field event come back for one day to leave for this course. <br />What am I most likely to see there?<br />What is the best way to pass?<br /><br />My unit is set to deploy and I want to go and lead my soldiers. <br />I know the job but recently had covid for almost two weeks and made it in time for this AT. The only issue I worry is making time hacks for PT standards. My pt, especially during active, was always good. Running simple battle drills now I am struggling to breathe. <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I can&#39;t speak to what you&#39;ll experience in Reclass; though in my OSUT, we had a couple guys who were Active Duty who reclassed to 11B. One was an NCO and given his own separate room from us heathens in the bay; both were excepted to be leaders of us lowly miscreants.<br /><br />I will say that, according to our lead drill sergeant, &quot;we are a runnin&#39; Army&quot;, and from my experience, he wasn&#39;t wrong. I suspect you already know this, and are asking a question whose answer you not only know, but want your worst concerns confirmed. Grunt PT--especially at initial training--is quite hard and often endurance based; struggling to breath doing it is a whole new level of suck for you to embrace. If its simply a case of your PT having fallen off, you can train back up for that; if there&#39;s an underlying issue causing it, well, you can only Super-Hooah away so much. Physical damage or chronic illness doesn&#39;t get better by beating yourself to death just to prove you have &quot;heart&quot;.<br /><br />Time seems to not be your friend right now based on what I am reading. Still, if possible, knowing EXACTLY why you are struggling, is the 1st question you should ask; and ask it of yourself and your doctors. The second question--after knowing the answer to the 1st--should be how much of an issue this will be when you reclass.<br /><br />In any case, good luck!
