There are plenty of other media sites to open up bogus accounts and flood them with George Carlin's "7 Dirty Words" and others like them. Please feel free to seek attention elsewhere if you are that bored. I assure you that we are all really impressed with your attempts at "humor." If you are looking for someone to actually listen to you, I'm a sucker for a good conversation and I'm a good listener....just ask my ex-wife. JK.

Another one? I was just starting to think the troll profiles were becoming a thing of the past. One of the major reasons I don't normally engage with anyone who's icon shows unverified.

I was on an admin team for a website where trolls were common. We'd ban an average of a couple a week.

I came across a verified douchnozzle today, by the name of @SPC F*ckyoubigotty (etc.) Would this possibly be the oxygen thief you're talking about?

I kinda think it must be, since that asshat's name didn't pop up as I was trying to tag him (obviously).

First rule of the internet, don't feed the trolls. My excuse for feeding it is that I'm a noobie, and assumed that a verified member was not an actual skidmark.

I would imagine that it would be hard to maintain vigilance against people with the roll profiles. However couldn't this site be like some other forums that I am a part of and the Admins need to verify that you are/were indeed a Service Member prior to you being granted privileges or access to the message boards. Or they could make it so that your profile has to be more transparent prior to you being able to interact with other people. That's just my two cents into the matter.

RP has "professional" right on the home page. IMHO no one should be using their Joe Bagadonuts, Homey-in-the-Hood, FB or other "anonymous" site profiles. If you wouldn't do it on LinkedIn, why would you do it here? That being said, RP is fair and does give everyone the choice to do that if they wish.

Please don't accept contact requests from members with bizarre, perverted, obviously fake profile names. It makes it harder to remove them. Sorry "SuperGlide" but you are going down.

I know that this is happening and I have names to corroborate this which I will not mention here but I watch patterns of behavior and it is pretty obvious.

I remember going through basic seeing all the girls wearing ankle braces all week - then out dancing on the river walk during the weekend. Medical corps is horrible for this kind of stuff.

Never did fix it.

I just read the post your speaking of and thought it was odd as well. I doubt that the individual will be allowed here long once the moderators get wind of his bad karma he is spreading.

I believe there is a "Flag User" function for situations like this that alerts the moderating team to suspicious profiles. Thankfully, since this community is made up of primarily military members, fakers are pretty easy to spot. The icon appears on their profile page as a small blue flag. If you have doubts, it's worth reporting for OPSEC and community integrity purposes.

I post some of these images for my own defense. The head shed keeps getting complaints about these profile pictures geting removed. I won't post the naked man popping out of the cake, but it is forever burned ino my eye sockets.
