Best place to get side plates around Fort Bragg

So I'm on my way out and somehow my side plates have been misplaced. I've looked everywhere. If anyone knows of a place I could pick up these bad boys I would greatly appreciate it.

Of all the years I was stationed at Bragg I've never saw those plates sold because they're considered balistics plates, cases or covers maybe but not the actual plate, most people don't end up wearing them it all depends on the unit SOP. I'd look on ebay amazon or craigslist honestly.

If I am correct CIF is the only place that will have them. Yes that means you will have to pay for them. Stores are not authorized to sell military ballistic plates. You should get a 10% discount off of them when they write up the statement of charges. Sorry to hear about your issue.

If I remember right, issued side plates are still controlled items. Not even Old Sarge's will sell them for fear of a CID sting.

You mean like, on the black market? You wouldn't happen to be an undercover CID, would you? A guy in the barracks told me that if I ask, you have to tell me?

Sorry brother, most likely you'll have to bite that bullet! Those jokers are controlled items and if a surplus sells them CID will be so deep in the stuff that will not be funny.

I've made the transition from the army to civilian life and I wanted to give a update to anyone interested.

Side plates are a controlled item so attempting to find them at surplus stores will prove ineffective. You can purchase them off E bay but along this message board I was urged to not take this approach for the fact that the plates themselves could be some jacked up knock off and could potentially put lives at risk.

So last but not least rallypoint is obviously used for networking with other SM's/veterans which ended up benifiting me in the long run. Someone with side plates not on the books contacted me, someone I know who is legit sold a set to me for 150 dollars for the set. In conclusion networking is the solution! Thank God for my friends.
