That's a tough one, I love the grittiness Daniel Craig brought to Bond but would have to go with the Spy Who Loved Me. Cold War theme, Classic Bond.

CW2 Private RallyPoint Member Would you ask a parent who their favorite child is? This is an impossible question. There are 24 movies over a course of 50 years, and while there are certainly a few weaker entries in the franchise, they are all good in my opinion. I love the last scene in on Her Majesty's Secret Service as it shows the murder of Teresa Bond, and James Bond actually experiences loss that cannot be overcome. I love the climax of You Only Live Twice when the Japanese Ninjas in their grey pajamas attack the volcano stronghold of Spectre. I love the cat and mouse game between the late great Christopher Lee's Man with the Golden Gun and James Bond. Goldeneye, when Sean Bean looks up at Bond "For England James?" and the reply "No, for me." another great scene. I could go on, but the point is that regardless of which entry it is in the franchise, they are all solid movies.

If really pressed I would say a toss up between Spectre and License to Kill. Spectre I like because it puts Bond out of his element. It is about the changing world, and Bond's place in this new world. Where Skyfall took Bond back to his home, Spectre challenges Bond to be relevant in the evolving world of computers, internet, satellite surveilance, etc. I liked the cat and mouse between Bond and Blofeld. License to Kill I like because it was gritty. It was personal. It was Bond showing that he was willing to risk everything, including a charge of treason to set things right for his friend. The villain was compelling. To top it all of a cameo by Wayne Newton!

Not sure if I can really pin down what I would consider the overall best Bond film, so I'll nominate by the man who would be Bond:

Daniel Craig: Skyfall-Strength of story, direction (particularly visual direction), and general entertainment factor.

Pierce Brosnan: Goldeneye-Fun post Cold War romp.

Timothy Dalton: The Living Daylights-A modern--for the era--Bond with a new feel and a harder edge of "realism" not previously seen.

Roger Moore: The Spy Who Loved Me-The story (campy, but fun), and the villain and his henchman Jaws!

George Lazenby: (Oh...hell...no!)

Sean Connery: Goldfinger-Connery's swagger. The Ft. Knox climax. (Sorry Dr. No, I almost picked you.)

The Man With the Golden Gun. That annoying little minion (Herve Villachez, AKA Tattoo) got locked in a suitcase and thrown overboard when he interrupted 007 as he was about to get "busy". Classic

As I mentioned to another, I was pleasantly surprised by Craig's performance. My main concern going forward, is that he is getting to be a little "long in the tooth" to play a character like Bond. Who might we replace the "blonde Bond" with and why?

its a tie for me between Skyfall and Spectre. I grew up on pierce brosnan bond, but once Daniel Craig stepped into the role, I have enjoyed the franchise more. ready to see who the next Bond will be......

Tomorrow Never Dies- my perspective is probably effected by my age (31) and that I saw Pierce Brosnan first.

I enjoyed the one liners immensely-"They'll print anything these days."
"Your friend Mr. Bond is at the bottom of the South China Sea- he's my new ANCHOR man!"
The one scene appearance of Dr. Kauffman: "I go all over the world: I am especially good at zee celebrity overdose!"
Jonathan Pryce's Rubeet Murdoch inspired performance as the main villain Elliot Carver.
