I always had plenty of blankets in case the car broke down. In a pinch they could also be used for traction.

Blankets (wubbies), orange tarp, pencil flares from a pilots survival kit. I have a PLB (Spot gen 3) & a solar battery charger w/batteries

boots, hats, choppers (mitts), space blanket, jumper cables, tow strap, first aid kit, sleeping bag.
Gets chilly here in MN in winter, especially up north.

A seatbelt cutter.
In case the buckle gets fouled or I'm stuck hanging upside down in the seatbelt.
