I believe that relocation can affect your children, and how they adjust. However, as parents it is our job to stay close to them and make sure they are not overwhelmed with change, and help them through it. I had no problem adjusting, new friends came with school, sports and hanging at the base bowling alley. Parents do play a very critical role in making these transitions easier. If kids are getting the support at home, they will likely be much more confident in making these adjustments and forming new friendships. So important!
