SOPC means Special Operations Preparation Course. It’s the course “X-rays” go to before they take a shot at selection. That course is a kick in the nuts. It is rucking and running intensive and these boots were designed for SOPC students."Response by Capt Sabrena Goldman made Sep 1 at 2017 1:14 PM2017-09-01T13:14:03-04:002017-09-01T13:14:03-04:00LTC Stephen C.2884898

I think your curiosity has been PIQUED, SPC Matthew Hoffmann! The 19th and 20th Groups are both National Guard and it's pretty easy for a Guard Member to at least apply. The Guard requires that you go through and pass a 3 day Special Forces Readiness Evaluation before they will send you to assessment. That's about the extent of my knowledge on the subject. Here is the recruiting information. http://nationalguardsf.com/special_forces.shtml#locations
