We are PCS back state side to FT Stewart and are looking to get new renters and car insurances. We would like to bundle the two. I have no issue with choosing to go with a someone I can also bank with (ie. USAA). I honestly just want to know if there is someone better out there than USAA.</p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> SSG Carlos Madden Thu, 12 Sep 2024 16:34:29 -0400 2024-09-12T16:34:29-04:00 Response by SSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 13 at 2024 7:12 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/auto-and-homeowners-insurance?n=8867351&urlhash=8867351 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Personally for homeowners insurance i prefer using a broker, let someone else do the shopping around and prepare comparisons. They usually have access to smaller insurance companies as well as the big ones, and it gives you a local point of contact. PCS&#39;ing to Europe kinda forced me to USAA. Been with them ever since. Having lived back and forth between Europe and CONUS, it was just easier. I have mine bundled and like that I can change statu when I store a vehicle. I quit looking at cost as it does not tell the whole tail of service to customers. USAA does farm out my boat insurance to Progressive. It may be cheaper to go direct, but as I bundle a lot, I like the fact that USAA oversees the policy and I get a USAA discount from Progressive. States regulate requirements for auto policiy minimums. Just remember, the more stuff you gather on the trail of life, the the greater chance of loss when you file a claim.. They represent many companies and can find the best deal for your situation. TSgt Ken Vandevoort Tue, 15 Oct 2024 17:28:28 -0400 2024-10-15T17:28:28-04:00 2024-09-11T19:56:02-04:00
