If we think this sort of thing can't happen here, we are delusional. Now that they (ISIL) have taken action to bring beheadings and terror to the West, are we going to see action? What should be done? Will this provide emphasis to intelligence agency actions and their necessity WITHIN our own borders? These were Australian civilians being monitored by their own government.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/09/17/australia-counterterrorism-raid_n_5839766.html

Islamic State fighters will ramp up their calls on so-called lone wolves to attack members and facilities of the U.S. military in response to American airstrikes, a law enforcement bulletin obtained by FoxNews.com warned last July, a month before President Obama mounted an aerial attack on the terror group.

Then the second article broke. We had to see it coming. if you watch the news there is allot of unrest in America especially the upper mid west. Judging by sheer numbers of people we are talking about, this is definitely a credible threat to me. I will certainly be brushing up on my counter spying techniques (Cold War stuff) which I think is still credible for anti-terrorism... same concepts. Hopefully this wakes some people up.Response by Cpl Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 20 at 2014 12:29 PM2014-09-20T12:29:47-04:002014-09-20T12:29:47-04:00SFC Mark Merino249052

Good job Australia. We have seen it throughout the world. From the attacks on 9/11 to bombings in Europe to kidnapping in Asia to violent bloodshed in Africa to attacks in South America. Terrorists will always have the ability to reach out. Should the actions in Australia be a wake up call? Heck yeah they should. Anyone that reads about it and think that we are far removed from what is going on "over there" is just as crazy as those members of the Islamic State. This is a new sort of enemy, one that is willing and capable of reaching in to borders and taking actions against their enemy with little fear.Response by SGT Ben Keen made Sep 22 at 2014 10:17 AM2014-09-22T10:17:25-04:002014-09-22T10:17:25-04:00SSG Jacob Wiley250611

Nope.
