SGT John Rauch1214777<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>just been thinking over the past few days, about lessons learned in my past few years and such. I can remember a day, not so long ago that I thought I knew everything. Now the older I get, the dumber I seem to feel, but man, I am learning a lot! I have learned so much about society in general. I used to see things as being black and white. Now things have changed. I have come to realize that I dont have the answers for everything (being a youth pastor taught me that) and some times the right answer just isn't the logical answer. Anyway, just curious to know when everyone else quit "knowing everything" too.At what point did you stop "knowing everything"?2016-01-04T17:06:36-05:00SGT John Rauch1214777<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>just been thinking over the past few days, about lessons learned in my past few years and such. Since this is the humor section, I will say that I've had several occasions where I actually found out I didn't know everything. The first being when I was a young A1C at Osan AB S Korea and I found that a SSGT gets irritated at an A1C always saying "I know" ) lol. The next, as SSG Thomas Livingston so admirably put it, when I got married. Soon I will find out that knowing everything is not the battle, as we bring a baby girl into the world. I feel like I know nothing and that there was not enough "mentoring" or leadership by previous supervisions. I spend a lot of time doing research on things that I should have already known by now. Now whatever I do not know, I write it down and look it up when I have the time. It does not do well to be in a meeting and feel like everything just went over your head, so beforehand I look up what what's on the agenda. Seems to work so far but that won't last forever I'm sure.Response by MSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 5 at 2016 11:28 AM2016-01-05T11:28:20-05:002016-01-05T11:28:20-05:00SFC Dennis Yancy1217487<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>When I retired from Army.
