As I head to ARC in two weeks, is it feasible for me to finish my Bachelors degree classes at the same time?

A little more about this question. I am TWO classes away from this BSM-PM. I go to school in two weeks. I am just trying to figure out if I have to drop the classes for my Bachelors degree until I am done with school or do you think it is feasible for me to complete these classes AND do recruiting school at the same time?

from what I remember it will be tough to be able to complete the 6 weeks training and finish a Bachelors Degree at the same time. There is many topics to master in a short period of time. additionally there is homework at night each student needs to complete. being at the end of your Bachelors degree it will be tough classes as well, and you would want to give it your best. I would postpone your final classes until you are complete with recruiting school.

You mean during the ARC? No of course not, however once you get settled in then you can proceed for your educational endeavors.

Yes, you can. BUT i can emphasize it enoigh. UR601-210 and AR601-210 are gunna get you. Honestly i would devote your time to ARC. lots of things you will have to learn. ARC is easy if yoir a REG person, but to understand the differnce between the ART and SCIENCE, to get a real grasp on it, do one class at a time.

ARC as in Army Recruiter Course or ARC as in Armor Reconnaissance Course?

I would generally discourage it,but it depend on the course workload. It is important to remember that the ARC is a highly condensed school. You will have exams, practical exercises and work like any other course.

Not while at the ARC, it is only two weeks...you will not have classes that short.

On a more serious note, yes you can complete a degree while recruiting. I completed my Masters while in USAREC...but it took a few years. You will not have the time to go to school full time and I would recommend you take a few months to get to speed in recruiting. I actually advised my recruiters to take college class when they were recruiting...gives your classmates (your target market) a chance to see soldiers in another light. Guarantees weekly college visits AND the schools cannot stop students from visiting as much as the Recruiter likes. "SSG Herpel, recruiter are only allowed on campus once a...oh, your a student, sorry, I don't want to be late for class."

At the ARC no. However, recruiting is all about achieving mission success through time management. If you're able to penetrate your market early enough, you then allow time for yourself to finish your degree while out in USAREC. First 6 months out there focus on production then start to incorporate college. Creating a battle rhythm out there is much harder out there than in a conventional unit.

Recruiting is different for different people. Can you finish you BA during this time? The answer is yes. Will it put additional stress on you and your family; the answer is yes; however, recruiting places a certain amount of stress on individuals, couples, and families as it is, so as you complete your BA/ BS; talk to possible candidates and you just may be able to complete your degree and recruit at the same time. What a tremendous opportunity. I was a recruiting Commander for 2 1/2 years, worked on my college, spent time with my family, and boxed ppretty much ecery time; it can be done.

I took two classes while I was at ARC. I had no issue and completed the course on CL. It's up to how you use your time off... Which there is plenty of.
