All unaccompanied E-7 and above must report to the Housing Office for assignment to BOQ, SOQ, or SEQ. If on-post unaccompanied housing is not available within 30-60 days of arrival, Soldier will be issued a certificate of non-availability. Soldiers will be given a list of registered realtors to assist with finding adequate housing. This process can take up to two weeks. There are certain variables that will determine where you live. If you are coming with your family, and there are apartments available in family housing on Camp George (10 mins away from Camp Walker) you will stay there. If there are no apartments available you will stay off-post. If you are coming unaccompanied and there are rooms available in the senior barracks you will stay on-base, if there are no rooms available you will stay off-post. Any other questions, let me know. I have been stationed at Camp Walker for 22 months, with 2 months remaining.
