As an 11B, how competitive does it look to have an ROTC assignment, as compared to Drill or OC/T? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/as-an-11b-how-competitive-does-it-look-to-have-an-rotc-assignment-as-compared-to-drill-or-oc-t

Do any current 11B SFC's or MSG's here have experience as an ROTC Instructor? I'm starting to think about my next broadening assignment, and I've heard this is a very rewarding position, but I have my own doubts about it. I was a recruiter for three years, and while that was fun and all, it left me completely out of touch with my MOS for three solid years. The last thing I want to do is play the catchup game again. I feel like ROTC has the teaching aspect, there's still the opportunity to instruct (which is something I enjoy as a PSG), and it will give me an opportunity to finish my degree. However, I don't know how competitive it looks as an assignment compared to Drill or OC/T.

Any help from you guys, and shared experiences would be greatly appreciated! Opportunity to complete degree is an important post-retirement benefit. Also, experience in sales, a.k.a. recruiting, and teaching (ROTC) will serve you well in looking for employment after the Army.
