I was an Army Aviator and could not fly without my dog tags. As such I had extra sets of them everywhere, just in case. Now, I wear them for two reasons. First is the strong sense of pride that I still have from my service. Second, I am now a safety professional in the scaffolding business which puts me at heights on partially completed scaffolds and on the tops of tall buildings. But the mush bigger risk that I take is as a motorcycle rider. (I ride with the US Military Vets Motorcycle Club.) When you are on a motorcycle people are always trying to kill you, so I have never stopped wearing the tags with my blood type on them.
