As a prior service Marine switching to the Army, I am left with little options to get back in. Any info on 91L?

I'm a 91L. I love the job quite honestly. You have the ability to work on just about anything the army has because you have training and experience in brakes, hydraulics, diesel mechanics, electrical work in vehicles, etc. You end up with a lot of experience with the opportunity to test out and do really well on the civilian side.

Finally someone talked about it. How was AIT for you? I know it will be different for me as a Sgt but I’d still like to know.

Sorry for the long wait. Never saw the reply. Honestly AIT was helpful. Like anything else in the military it was very theoretical, but you got to get dirty and did the basics. Take apart a diesel engine, reassemble. Electrical work, lots of diagnostics and msd work. Learning how to use it to find your answer. I was in Missouri and coming out of winter. I loved it there. The instructors are mixed from marines, Army, and civilian. A lot of knowledge.

Being a 91L is great but don’t be surprised if you find yourself workin on other equipment than what you went to ait for 91L’s are very versatile

You will be trained at delta 554th ft. Leonardwood mo. Training is short and easy. You have to pretty slow not to pass the classes they give you 2 or 3 chances. They only thing that company doesn't take is pt failures
