As a courtesy, should you leave a positive vote on a topic if you earn the Trail Blazer badge for being the first responder?

Whether or not you're an influence point chaser, how do you feel about leaving a thumbs up for a post and giving points to the poster after you've earned 100 points for being the first responder to the post.

If it is a simple question you are able to answer, it doesn't necessarily "need" an upvote, but sure why not.

But if it's a good discussion and invites good thought, absolutely.

So, that said, yes.

I give thumbs up based on the quality of the post. I do not give them as a courtesy.

I am offended by the question! I will be more offended that I was not the first responder without a hose and a pump. My life is a living hell and that offends me.. lol

I don't care about points, my points, your points, anyone's points. If I comment on a post it is because I had an opinion on the post. It might be because I thought I had something of value to add to the conversation. It could also be because I felt the urge tell somebody that I felt what they said was just plain stupid. If I give you a thumbs up it is because I enjoyed or agree with what you said.

So the Trail Blazer Badge is for the first response to a (new) post? I have no idea what this badge means exactly! Not that I give answers for points or badges, but I was curious what this badge is about since I saw it on my profile.
