WE are tasked out for bullshit all the time, no real training takes place expect for a few weeks before certifications. If you're a col, you should already have a class date lined up. Talk with your Platoon Sgt and 1SG. If you're squared away on PT, marksmanship, do boards, college, etcetera. There is no reason they would not have you slotted for the next class.
