Don't forget about the “Stop Loss” policy of a decade ago, which involuntarily extended service members beyond their active-duty contractual terms of service. The policy was used because of falling retention rates. <br /><br />Last month's executive order allowed for the continued reduction of the active force by 80,000 soldiers while at the same time allowed for the involuntary recall of former service members to active duty. Benning, leaving his private practice as an attorney. If you decide you cut it shot without a medical separation, then be prepared to be called back and serve the rest of your contract. You signed along the dotted line. That is why I am doing my 8 and if I am not convinced the Army is for me, I will get out without owing uncle Sam anything.
