So that would be a similarity with BUDS but the difference is it is not an MOS it is simply a skill set for a special operator. There are lots of similarities I am sure. One of the big differences is if a guy fails BUDS he will not be a SEAL, only SF guys or other qualified Special Operators attend the course. However, in the SF one at Key West, we teach a lot of top side operations such as watercraft movements. The other branches dive course may be a lot shorter than our 6 week POI, but its because they offer different courses that teach top side stuff where we are a one stop shop.
