I was very proud of the fatigues that I wore. They were men's fatigues; and they had all kinds of pockets.
I didn't particularly like my Class
'A' s.
I will say this, though: A Drill Sergeant, in Basic Training, liked how I ironed my Class 'A's so much, that she dressed me. I felt like that was an honor.

I was lucky enough to be in when the Army had the short sleeve khakis.
Complete the ensemble with an Garrison Cap with Glider Patch and 10" Cochran jump boots.
Dang ... I was good looken!

Absolutely! My uniform was pressed so well that you could hold the pants out from you and it held like they were made from cardboard. My boots were so glossy that they would make a mirror seem inadequate! I always took great pride in my uniform, because I was not only representing myself, but the mighty U.S. Army! Hooah!

I am proud to have worn the uniforms of the US Army from 1974 to 2008.
I enjoyed and left more comfortable in some uniforms much more than others especially fatigue uniforms.
Favorite uniforms: starchable olive green fatigues, jungle fatigues, battle dress uniforms (BDUs}, Dress Greens summer weight, and Dress Blues.
Least favorite uniforms: for starchable khaki's, permanent press olive green fatigues, and permanent press TWs.

RIP Brother.
This area of Washington is my backyard. Unfortunately, training accidents happen. We train hard so we are ready when needed. A lot of folks don't realize, even with safety standards in place training can be just as dangerous as war. We may not be shooting at each other but, these type of things happen in combat/imminent danger zones too.

I never really thought about it before, but I always thought the cracker jacks were stupid. 13 buttons, give me a break. I still wonder why the Navy hasn't come up with a modern uniform. You know, pants with zippers, that kind of thing.
