You have to be nearer my age to know NBC has never come close to the quality and intelligence that ABC had when they were doing it. That was back in the day when there was Wide World of Sports and ABC really focused on quality, not click bait. The swimming coverage is so bad, NBC is now bringing in Leslie Jones to somehow overcome their serious shortcomings. Another miscue from a network that has never understood, nor tried to, what Olympics coverage should be. They never got a grip on ABC setting the Gold Standard.
