Better than expected. I survived Hungary in 1956, not invading Cuba in 1962, the loss of Cambodia and of Vietnam. By that time I knew we were anything but the picture we painted. A large military thatcan project force anywhere on earth but our nation building skills suck.

Doing pretty good...I have to admit the slap in the face kinda stings and leaves me wondering was it all worth it...then I think to myself yes it was because I went where my nation sent me as I was supposed to and did my job and kept the dang fight over there and not here any more and my family and friends are safe...and for the time being still free.

This is like the fall of Saigon all over again. When will these idoit politicians like Biden ever learn. I was an Army grunt in Viet Nam. The men and officers fought hard but the lousy politicians in Washington screwed up that war, not the service people who served and it looks like the brain dead idiots in Washington are doing it again. Both parties are to blame but not the brave military people who served. Will we ever learn?

I am proud of our nation its people especially those who served and even greater are those who gave their life. I am ashamed of politicians who got us in a war they never intended to win with honor. It is Vietnam all over again. Shame on all politicians, bureaucrats, State Dept, and all of Washington DC you deserve a dishonorable discharge if that was possible. You dishonor all those who fought your proxy wars for the sake of your crummy corrupt agendas.

Some people in the USA, NATO, Pakistan Afghanistan and other so called friends of the USA made a lot of money. Face it for 47 years Biden, Harris, Pelosi, as well as others of both parties made out as AristoElites of the Kleptocracy of the modern world. The only difference is whether those in power are a soft dictator or a hard one. Biden is no different than other long time politicians. But money and blood will still be spent as the public are no longer engaged to stop or limit the power of their so called leaders. Change always comes through violence, when true leaders or statesmen are missing the die is cast. What now, more of the same? The USA created Osama Bin Laden, the USA destabilisation of the Middle East leaves more problems than solutions. Where next? China sea, Ukraine, Spin the globe there is money to be made the “beat goes on.” It’s time for Americans to be engaged or will we lose it as a empire in decline? As Americans can no longer afford to whistle as they pass through another Graveyard of Empires. Veterans always have paid the greatest cost of these follies of foreign policy, and a corrupt political class that can’t see beyond power and enriching themselves. Vets know it has always been about the man next to you, I doubt it will ever change. So hang tight as long as we have each other it will pass.

Ive invested 15 of my 20 (6 deployments and 3 years of contract work) years in that place. Every single day deployed, we faced adverse conditions. And to tuck and run like this is unfathomable. What harm would it have done for a small presence there? To keep stability and help secure that region? How long have we been in Europe and Asia? Is it not the same? Pisses me off. I. Trying my best not to let this get to me but it’s proving difficult.
