After all, it doesn't mean the same thing any more. And this contentious election year has shaken my faith in our ability to reclaim our heritage. <br /><br />I don't know about you, I thank God everyday for my life, my wife and children, and that I'm an American. I was proud to serve in it's Armed Forces. I am proud that I live in a Country where we can still follow the American Dream of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. I was free to marry a person of my choosing. I was free to start a family of my own. I was free to purchase a home in a place of my choosing.
