I think it’s great that the new POTUS is talking directly to the American people without the filter of the media. But, is there too much of a good thing? Has his tweets that appear to be off the cuff remarks too raw to bear?

It’s a NY personality thing. I can take as long as his successes continue. The last guy had more gravitas, with little or no substance.

I do not play the Twitter game so it really doesn't bother me. The only reason I know he tweets is because whenever he does it heads start exploding in the main stream media. I think he should continue to do so just for that fact.

I like that he uses it to talk to the people. It shows that he's not completely out of touch with reality and it gives him a means to say things without a middle man twisting it. It's a sign that he's a real guy working for the people that put him in the oval office.

As long as it keeps making the other side come completely unglued, I'll keep not having a problem with him speaking what's on his mind.

"Good thing?" Lol. If there were good policy or information or something intelligible or useful in the tweets, I'd say they were good things. I have yet to see that. What I see is personal attacks on people and private businesses coming from an elected official. It is unprofessional at best.

I have always viewed President Trump as a "you knew what you were getting with him" kind of guy. His bombastic , chest thumping "I am in charge" attitude are all a part of the Trump persona. Twitter is just another vehicle for which he can communicate his platform. Regardless, I think it is a platform that he speaks from too frequently with little to no forethought on consequences. Then again, why should he be concerned... "he is in charge."

President Trump's version of a Fireside chat is alarmingly like a Fourth of July sparkler. Entertaining, but without substance. Still, they can burn and are burning his enemies. Everytime they hit him with a zinger, he simply owns it thereby defusing it. President Trump, in a word, is something they haven't faced in a long time, a fighter. He doesn't dance away from a punch. He closes and counter punches. Personally, I find him and his tweets entertaining, like a good prizefight.

I don't have a problem with him communicating directly with the populace, I just wish he would do so in a more dignified manner. IMHO, it's a little embarrassing to have your POTUS pitching fits and talking like an 8th grade bully......calling people by stupid names, and running them down publicly. Lying slime ball......really? I think our leader should maintain a certain level of dignity......and this one strays far from that.

I think it is a strategy of his to keep people off balance and constantly thinking what did he mean by that. I would guess most people in the media are confused, bewildered and just trying to figure him out day to day. Has our media ever been more wrong with a sitting president then they have been with Pres. Trump?

What irritates me most is that Comey, the FBI, Hillary Clinton, and the Democratic party in general have had more contact with the Russians than our President has. Why aren't they investigating them? Hillary paid Mr. Steel for the fake dossier that accused our President of lying in bed with prostitutes while they pee'd on him which is disgusting to say the least. When that was proven wrong where was the investigation? When Hillary's server was bleached, erased, her cell phones smashed by Comey or an accomplice where was the investigation? I think Pres. Trump should continue to be the confusing strategist he has been portraying and let those TWEET's fall where they may!

Obviously. How else do you expect me to maintain my sanity?
But as for twitter being used as a direct communication tool, it's good, but only if followed up with good, effective policy. Still waiting on the latter part from the administration.
