1LT Shaye L. Haver and CPT. Kristen Griest both say their reasons for wanting to go to Ranger school was to make themselves better leaders.

I like knowing they were driven by the desire to be better leaders. Sometimes we get all wrapped up on the Hooah part and forget about the smart (brain power) part.

For the first two women who earned the Ranger tab, attending the Ranger School was all about honing leadership skills and being better leaders for the Army.

CPT M C. Their completion of the Ranger Course is what matters, they were driven Soldiers who have earned a huge amount of respect!

CPT Private RallyPoint Member I would think that anybody who completes that tough course would have good reasons (and intentions) for being there!

I can't wait for the first women in BUD/s. THAT's gonna shut naysayers up.

I think a large part of the changes in military policy of roles for women, is just another progressive change towards a better institution. 90% of the reason why women didn't have the jobs they have now is because, men thought they couldn't do it, because we see our selves far superior physically, and mentally. I personally believe, when it comes to mental fortitude, as long as you have been trained well, women destroy us with their brain power. We may physically be strong, but mind over matter is the best strength anyone could ever have. And I am excited to see women breaking these barriers daily. A huge jump forward in equality.
