Quitting chocolate was the hardest thing I have ever had to give up. There is no stigma associated with choclate and no warning labels on it.
Two gastroenterologists confirmed that chocolate weaken the smooth muscle of the oesophagus. I learned the hard way after I was sucking on chocolates to cool my burning throat following complication in colon resection surgery.Response by LTC Stephen F. made Nov 23 at 2015 11:23 AM2015-11-23T11:23:30-05:002015-11-23T11:23:30-05:00SPC Margaret Higgins1128051

I have to limit myself if I start getting too heavy. But for some reason I am picky with what I eat and keep certain food groups in portions. Might be because I am still young and my metabolism is insanely fast. Might be because I'm very active and love staying active. Personal choice is to just stay healthy. I do have a cheat day with ice cream and cake once a week but I can eat anything. Personal preference is to keep in proportions though. Been in this diet for 4 years straight. A little bumps in between from slacking but majority of the 4 years has been strict or as I think I just grew into eating healthy. By the way I was a 119 lbs when I started this. After the first year and being deployed I continued to work out and came home from deployment at 162 lbs. about a year after I reached the highest weight at 175 lbs which was my goal. The last two years with just eating what I thought was healthy for me I pretty much fluctuated around 160-165 range. Of course I lost weight during stressful and depressing times but currently today I weigh 160 lbs. lastly I'm not looking forward to when my metabolism slows down.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 24 at 2015 1:50 AM2015-11-24T01:50:21-05:002015-11-24T01:50:21-05:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member1128652

I have to admit that some foods do make my trousers shrink, but no health effects related to food LTC Stephen F.Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 24 at 2015 8:03 AM2015-11-24T08:03:15-05:002015-11-24T08:03:15-05:002015-11-23T11:17:41-05:00
