When they find that comfortable medium that works for them allowing them to exist in a stable economy they stop pursuing the next level. I have seen so many transitioning and separated vets say they looking for a job they think they are qualified and can do, instead of taking a strategic approach to figure out what they really want to do in their civilian careers. <br />I am FINALLY following my passion and living an inspired life!Response by Vikki Nicometo made Feb 19 at 2016 4:44 PM2016-02-19T16:44:17-05:002016-02-19T16:44:17-05:00MAJ Ken Landgren1315750<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have very little passion to push me.Response by MAJ Ken Landgren made Feb 19 at 2016 5:12 PM2016-02-19T17:12:23-05:002016-02-19T17:12:23-05:00Sgt Private RallyPoint Member1315817<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have been very fortunate. I knew what I wanted to do for my dream job. I found a good job at a chemical plant while I worked on my degree. Five and a half years later, I completed my degree and started work on the Space Shuttle program. I loved my job for 33 years until the Space Shuttle program ended.Response by Sgt Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 19 at 2016 5:39 PM2016-02-19T17:39:59-05:002016-02-19T17:39:59-05:00Capt Mark Strobl1315832<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="658680" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/658680-31a-military-police">CPT Private RallyPoint Member</a> - I settled. Here's my dilemma: Three kids, one going to school next year. I willingly support my wife's vices (although I'm ultimately a benefactor). Now, don't get me wrong... I do enjoy my job. While it's not what I'd LOVE to do, my career supports my lifestyle and provides for my family. To that, I can keep on this gig... well, at least 'til my last one leaves the nest.Response by Capt Mark Strobl made Feb 19 at 2016 5:45 PM2016-02-19T17:45:40-05:002016-02-19T17:45:40-05:00PO1 Brian Austin1316399<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I contracted overseas for almost 8 yrs after retiring. After returning home i was pretty burned out. The current job i have is pretty easy, good schedule and low stress which is what i wanted. And i have no problem with the wife now being the main breadwinner. Kids are grown and out so it's just us two and the dog. <br /><br />I guess i settled into the comfortable medium.Response by PO1 Brian Austin made Feb 19 at 2016 10:31 PM2016-02-19T22:31:24-05:002016-02-19T22:31:24-05:002016-02-19T16:36:11-05:00
