Are you concerned that martial law might be imposed in the United States?

I hear people toss around the threat of martial law. It was mentioned when Richard Nixon spoke of "sinister forces" at work in America. Many seem to fear that President Obama might impose it to remain in the White House. Putting aside the hysteria and hyperbole, has it ever happened before? Can it now? What are the chances?

No, if martial law is ever declared on all Americans, it's likely that there are some much more important issues are at stake. The chain of events leading up to such an event would be the problem, not the declaration of martial law itself.

He could try but I don't think he understands the fact that there is far more people that disapprove of him than approve, especially within the ranks of those who would be tasked with enforcing Martial Law.

In fact, I really don't foresee martial law ever being enforced on the general public in the US. So many military members and law enforcement are conservative minded that unless there was some type of legitimate threat I doubt they'd so much as lift a finger on enforcing martial law anywhere. Most would probably laugh and move on with their days.

Not in our current state.

Martial law isn't something tossed around lightly. If and when the military is ever called in to enforce martial law, then we have far worse things to be worrying about than who likes whom being president. This fear that President Obama will impose martial law is nothing but hysterical nonsense.

There has to be a REASON. For what reason??? If there was a reason I might be concerned. Right now I am locked and loaded and all the knives and swords are sharp, the Arrows are close by the cross bow, I am ready. Just in case the Law Enforcement or the Troops need help.
