I keep major tabs on my stuff and felt comfortable with this organization. Hell, when I was serving everyone had my SSN anyway. We tell people to black out there SSN prior to sending in your documents. For the most part people do this and it is no issue. I didn't know it then, but I know it now: RallyPoint is not here to steal your identity. We just want to verify your military service. It's actually become quite commonplace.
