In August 2015 the shifted USAF doctrine to include CAP as the fourth component of the USAF. <br /><br />HQ, CAP-USAF is the USAF unit charged with USAF oversight of the Civil Air Patrol. In addition to active duty personnel, the unit does have Category E Reserve positions (drill for points) to support CAP.
