Mailed in my ballot a few days ago. Why? Because I have an aversion to lines even at polling booths and since I filled out everything why wait to drop it in the mail?

Here in VA you are allowed to vote early absentee ballot if you are away from home for more than 11 hrs on voting day. I work 10 hr days and have 1 1/2 hr commute each way taking me away from home for 13 hours on election day. I don't get any time off to vote. So I vote Early Absentee ballot. My vote was cast a couple weeks ago.

Early voting allows me and my friends to vote often! We'll drive to another county with same day registration rights, grab a ballot, go to the local, and vote! We make a road trip out of it! It's fun, it's easy, and it supports tourism in those backwater counties! Next time around, it will even be easier, as our state is going to give us mail in ballots with the stamps already on them! That will leave us more gas money!

I am an early voter, yesterday I went but the line was longggggggg. I will continue to go every day cause it gives me something good to do.

I don't think we even have early voting here. Besides which I have a bit of a ritual about elections (since leaving the service, when I wrote to my HOR city clerk for absentee ballots from wherever I was). It involves showing up before the polls open, being at the most #10 in line, and going to a nearby restaurant for their (really good) Eggs Benedict and a danish after. Just about the only time I have Eggs Benedict.

Yes... and took my dad with me so he could also vote...
too bad so many folks take the "Vote Early and Vote Often" seriously...
