Here is the catch. You will have to pay the RCP money back when you do retire. It happened to me. It took me three years to pay it back. I retired back in 2007. I would say go talk to a recruiter or even a MILPER clerk to find the answer. You are able to come as a Reserve TPU status. But I think when you start to recive your retire pay at what ever age you will have to pay that back. I am on AGR and will follow the same guideline for the RCP time lines that the Active Duty does.
