Are you able to change the unit you're assigned to when PCSing? If so, what are the easiest ways to do it?

I am currently PCSing within the next 6 months, I am PCSing to the same duty station as my wife but I'm wondering if its possible to try and be assigned to the same brigade to be on the same deployment rotations?

It all depends on if they have an opening for someone with your rank and MOS. Most of the time you are already slotted on a Brigades inbound tracker and they are already tracking you so changing may be a tad bit difficult.

This is a question for the gaining organization. Cannot hurt to ask. However it is based on available positions and unit strengths. I would contact the gaining installation in and out processing center for guidance. Thank you for your service.

It's up to the Division Strengths management. A better way is to each contact your Brigade CSMs to see if they are willing to do a one-for-one swap of like MOS/Rank in order to get you both in the same brigade.
Just because you're both in the same brigade doesn't mean you'll both deploy at the same time, and if you end up having children you'll need to switch back.

1. Have you both signed up for the Married Couples Assignment Plan yet? 2. If so, then you need to call/write the duty station's REPL so they can start to TRY to adjust the assignments.
