I have played many tactical and operational board war games starting with Anzio in the 1960's GySgt Carl Rumbolo.
Later I have played Panzerblitz, Panzer Leader and the Arab Israeli board war games.

In 1981 I attended the national Origins Convention at the Dunfey Hotel in San Mateo and saw Joe Angiolillo introduce the Axis and Allies game. Now it has a mainstream publisher and is pretty much the most popular wargame series nowadays.

Although I like to play board wargames, my love is for miniatures wargames. Flames of War has been my favorite for the last 13 years. It is a WW2 game, but they have just come out with a modern version based on Harold Coyle's Team Yankee.

It's hard to find someone to play with. I have PanzerBlitz, KriegSpiel, Luftwaffe, Midway, and several others. My favorite is probably Ogre, at which I've never been beaten.

I'm also a big fan of computer tactical games, Civilization 2 and XCom: Ufo Defense being my favorites.
