And prior to being in the Army when I taught Martial Arts I'd run a ~4:40 mile. Best I did in the Army was around 12:30 for the 2 mile. Now in my fifties my running days are over and can only do about 50 good push-ups on a good day. Now, I just completed surgery number 2 on my left knee(both knee replacements). So, now I'm walking the 2.5 mile walk in 25 mins. I never hit that elusive 300, but also never dropped below the high 270's....except for SFAS, but that's because they quit counting when you hit the passing number. I think the only time I did more was when I was in wrestling and I got in trouble and had to do pushups for about 2.5 hours, I hit around 250 if I remember correctly, couldn't use my arms for a few days though. I was never a PT stud. I could do decent on push ups and pull ups, but me and running never got along. I could hike with a ruck until my feet fell off though. As I got older push ups went up and sit ups went down ;( run continues to get a little slower over 26 years.
