Having taken the NIMS and CERT Courses. Not a bad Idea to stock up "Be a Prepper" not just for the Conspiracy Whack a Doodles. Anyone of us could fall in a Natural Disaster Situation and not being able to access what we normally do. I see nothing wrong with having 10 days to 3 weeks of Emergency Supplies stashed somewhere on the Old Ranch.

I have seen the show prepers and those people are nuts. I'm all about be prepared but that's a lifestyle in its self. Unless those prepers ar the phych one and there are normal ones then I am wrong and I'm sorry.

With the world so interconnected, a global event (economic, war, epidemic) could affect the availability of resources. I'm working towards being self-sufficient, not only does that prepare me from any of these worst case scenarios, but it also provides me the peace and solidary I want in my life.

Having served in the Marine Corps for 22 years, I learned that "failing to plan is planning to fail". That said, the term "prepper" has taken on a negative connotation in the past several years. I believe in being a "prepared citizen", so I can ensure the safety and well-being of my family, my neighbors, and myself in times of need.
