Are you a member of the Rallypoint LinkedIn group? Why or why not ?

No. For the same reason I don't do FB: companies are way too fast and easy with information, and way too lax with security. Plus, I have my career, and will retire from it, and will never need to look for a job, which is the largest benefit of LinkedIn. So your next question is why do I use RP, then? Because the benefits (interaction with Brothers and Sisters) far outweigh the risk. Something I don't feel for FB or L'n.

CPL Deanna Green (Parkinson) - Cool. The Veteran Mentor Network LinkedIn group is also great. Let me know if you'd like more.

Thanks again. I have been working 40 years. I just want to ride out a few more...

I've noticed you enjoy shutting the door on trailblazers. LOL!
Ya know, someday, someone will slip in a moment before you right? May just have to be me. Consider this my formal Notice of Intent to Trailblaze one of your posts. Game on good sir, game on!

I do not use linkedin twitter or fakebook. Just not something I am interested in doing. I keep in contact with people I want to remain in contact with using email, texts and phone calls.

SGT (Join to see), I am a member, but it's pretty lonely in that LinkedIn group. I post occasionally; however, no responses.

Personally, I haven't found LinkedIn groups to be that useful; OTOH, I have been contacted more than a few times via LinkedIn to do contract work with administering the Aurea (formerly Lyris) ListManager application. What, exactly, is the point of joining the RallyPoint LinkedIn group? Can't we get the the same, or better interaction with RallyPoint members right here on RallyPoint?

As of right now, yes. But many would prefer to deal with Veterans outside of RP because of the excessive politricks posts. It makes RP look bad.

My RP is connected with Facebook, LinkedIn and g-mail. Being unemployed, i'm hoping to increase my chances of "being seen", before I become homeless again.

Have you joined the Veteran Mentor Network group on LinkedIn? Between that group, sending messages, creating threads regarding the type(s) of jobs you want, and applying for jobs via RP, you'll jump back on that horse much sooner.

Ha ha.....you like that horse picture, don't you ??? No, I didn't see the mentor network. I basically went in there long enough to get it set up and that was about it. I'll check it out now before I forget.
Thanx for lookin' out.
