And I was pointed there, the American Legion guy was not there, so I talked to the VFW guy he asked me when I had served then asked me if I had been to Nam. I was told that for me to join that I needed to have served in Vietnam or in another conflict outside of the US, about a week my 20th year of being clean, the guy I was sharing a duplex with, kicked me out of the house. I became homeless and helpless. Didn't know how to get my meds, didn't know about None service connected disability so I lived on the streets, had a pretty good place private, though I did get robbed a couple of times, wasn't until my adopted Dad died and I came back to Texas, that I learned of that. So haven't really giving any thought to a group who seemed to think that my service was less than his or theirs, I am the one who got spit on, I am the one called, rapist murderer and baby killer.

Sorry sore subject and I am trying to distract myself from what happened with my CAT-SCAN.Response by Cpl Scott McCarroll made Jul 6 at 2018 3:25 PM2018-07-06T15:25:48-04:002018-07-06T15:25:48-04:00TSgt David L.3772229

I was a VFW member of post 1087 in Great Falls, MT for 3 or 4 years. They were happy to get my money but never called, sent out texts, email or snail mail about ANY thing. l never knew of any meetings (normally on the same day and time, but not always) or activities. So I let it expire. I am a Life Member of the Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA).Response by TSgt David L. made Jul 6 at 2018 5:29 PM2018-07-06T17:29:31-04:002018-07-06T17:29:31-04:00COL Mikel J.
