There has to be a psychological component that is causing these senseless killings. I'm just looking at my own PTSD journey and know that you either remove the stressor or make a device to end the stressor. What's causing the roof to leak? A hole. To stop the leak, you patch the roof. Leak stops, stressor is gone. Then you fix the damage the leak caused.
