Are there PCS options within the National Capital Region for a SSG/68W and non-clinical? Any tips, tricks or POCs?

First and best resource is to speak to the retention NCO in your unit have that NCO pull up available assignments.

Around the area you asked are the Old Guard, The White House duty and Pentagon Duty (must be a very clean cut Soldier) That mean Secret Clearance, no family issues, drug or alcohol issues, and no credit issues.

I spent 3 years in the Old Guard as a Health Care NCO. It is a non-clinical unit (infantry unit with the medical plt as one of the support elements). It was honestly was one of my favorite units. You get the best of all worlds as a Soldier, NCO and medic since the expectations are high and many opportunities to grow and excel. You have to meet certain prereqs to apply for the unit.
