LTC Private RallyPoint Member5826575<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>A Regular Army organization I used to work for is interested in funding an ADOS tour so I can work for them. They do not deal with reservists much. They have funding (mainly RDT&E, O&M, & OPA) but do not know what kind of funding they can use to fund an ADOS tour. I've sent off some emails to different G8 offices to see if I can get an answer but I'm putting it out here as well. Are there limits on what color of money can be used to fund ADOS tours?2020-04-28T15:30:21-04:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member5826575<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>A Regular Army organization I used to work for is interested in funding an ADOS tour so I can work for them. In a traditional reserve unit about tours are funded with RPA funds which is the 2070 appropriation and make this an ADOS-RC tour. When I was in Germany my Contingency ADOS tour was funded by OCO MPA funds which aligns with the EDI mission in Europe. I'm sure the same applies to COADOS tours in the middle east using OCO MPA funds for the GWOT mission. I have also been on ADOS-AC tours that have been funded with Foreign Military Sales and Working Capital Funds these are usually done through the PFI organization. OPADOS and other ADOS-AC tours are funded with MPA funds as well but the appropriation differs depending what mission it supports.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 28 at 2020 4:40 PM2020-04-28T16:40:48-04:002020-04-28T16:40:48-04:00COL Private RallyPoint Member5836263<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>LT Kanemitsu's response is spot on about the funding... bottom line, it depends on the mission that you will be supporting. I suggest your old AD unit gets in touch with the Reserve Liaison Officer at the DIV/CORPS HQ or Installation to figure a way to do a by-name request for forces packet. They cant jut come up with the money, unless the unit does its part asking for the position to be filled. Again, their best bet is checking with their USAR Liaison Office.Response by COL Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 30 at 2020 11:48 PM2020-04-30T23:48:58-04:002020-04-30T23:48:58-04:002020-04-28T15:30:21-04:00
